PATHWAYS IN ASD STUDY: INITIAL FINDINGS

ON 02 MAY 2011. POSTED IN SUMMARIES

The Canadian Institutes of Health Autism Spectrum Disorders: Pathways to Better Outcomes is the largest longitudinal study in the world to examine the psycho-social factors in children with ASD.

In general, initial study findings speak to the importance of developing ASD intervention services that are delivered as early as possible and are diverse, flexible, and sensitive enough to meet the needs of children with ASD who have very different clinical profiles and follow different developmental pathways.
